Nikki and Jaq created the Maison concept when they opened their first shop in Milford on Sea in March 2002. Quickly they realised they find things that every one wants. Everything comes from either France (approx 80%), Belgium, Netherlands or UK which gives it all a continental touch, and they have a knack of sourcing the most FAB things. Their stock is eclectic, exciting, beautiful, fun, rustic, modern, traditional, innovative and most of all juste un petit peu different...
Nikki spent some years as a senior travel consultant and got her passion for France from numerous trips, so when she met the mischeivous Jaq, who had spent 20 years working at the Moulin Rouge, her passion for not just France but all things French was confirmed ;-) Their combined flair, taste and hospitable personalities culminate in a collection of things for the home second to none.
Maison Ringwood - now the flagship shop - opened in July 2007. Laid out like a house, you can walk through rooms of inspiration and it is very hard to resist the temptation to pamper your home. Whether you bless it with new furniture, cheer up a wall with something to inspire, light up your bedroom with some creative lighting, tickle your CD player with some Parisienne cafe jazz, or even put a smile on your kitchen table with some new serviettes.
Currently Nikki and Jaq are also undertaking a renovation project for their own home in the South UK, they have had some response from Grand Designs, they quite simply have a gift for innovative designs and interiors.
Since the opening of the first shop Maison has become a community as well as a business, customers become friends, new customers are made to laugh and relax and we thought it really was time to open up to all of you :-)
So break some bread, cut some cheese, crack open a bottle of Rose, browse, enjoy and spoil yourself...
